Chemical/molecular structure and any specific aspects of the structure that may influence activity.
This should be followed by a particular and detailed focus on identifying any issues or problems during drug development, regulatory approval or post marketing surveillances. The review should include any critical data that may illustrate key issues identified. Reference to the intellectual property and its management covering the drug may assist in understanding corporate performance. Attention should be given to the market imperatives and the impact of the circumstances identified.
Summarizing the lessons learnt through this review of the drug development and marketing would be useful, as would an overall summary.
These should be succinct presentations that identify the key issues involved with the drug and the resulting outcomes. Attention should be made to the content of the slides, the familiarity of the subject to the presenter, the communication style and the ability to respond to questions. Each student will have a limited time (no more than 10 minutes including time for
questions) to present their materials.
